Join us for A Camino Prayer Walk around the ancient city walls of London.
The first city in scripture resulted from man’s rebellion and independence, its walls represented a stronghold of defense and fear. The first Roman city of London was similarly enclosed by walls that can be traced today. These walls represent the foundations of London and although there is no visible ‘wall around Greater London, there are many strongholds of greed, fear, and violence.
As we walk and pray around the ancient walls we’ll be praying with the City of God in mind, the Garden City in which God dwells. As we pray around the 2.5 kilometers of the wall we’ll be praying for God to be our city and to build up the walls of love, peace, and healthy relationships across the church in London.
We’ll aim to start at 11.00 a.m. and finish just after 1.00 p.m. with a prophetic act of surrender and trust in God, praying the Lord’s Prayer – “Heavenly Father forgive, lead and protect us and supply us our daily needs as we learn to dwell in your kingdom that is coming down from heaven.”
