REACH London Internships – Exploring Meeting online 1.00pm 12th July.
Robin Plummer (Senior leader New River Baptist Church) cites three convictions concerning mission in London from the past five years of ministry:
1. Missional leadership multiplies where opportunities exist for hands-on missional experience allied with training, reflection and mentoring within missional communities.
2. Internships are a great way for young people to explore and gain both experience, skills, support and direction for a lifetime of ministry. In return, churches benefit from an extra pair of hands and from the insights and energy that help us to strengthen and increase our missional reach.
3. The benefits and effectiveness of an internship increase for both the intern and the churches involved when we work together with other like-minded churches in its delivery and application.
REACH London would like to support missional churches and young missional leaders through the delivery of missional internships. Moreover, we have already begun to explore some of the practicalities concerning e.g. accommodation, training, mission projects. Come and join in an exploratory conversation with me (Robin) and other leaders to help shape a future that offers missional internships that are integrated and supported across like-minded churches in London, for London, for Jesus.
