We long to see people who have been trapped by ageism commissioned to serve in independent and Baptist churches. Research shows that the most productive decade of your life is 60 to 70. The second is 70 to 80. And the third is 50 to 60. These are a Caleb generation with decades of acquired wisdom, capacity and leadership experience and The Church has been slow to adapt to this reality. (Caleb was still as strong at 85 as he had been in his youth.)
Suppose you’ve been a professional or in business and then you retire – you’ve still got another 25 years in which you can do full-time ministry.
There are many who are looking for a meaningful mission in their later years. Through our REACH Boomers internship and training, you could be equipped and either running a congregation, or providing crucial strength and backup in a church team.
We have a vision to find and resource Caleb’s, so churches can source experienced leaders or pioneers.
