apostles anonymous is at Lumberjack Cafe, 70 Camberwell Church Street, SE5 on Friday 1st April 7.30pm – 9.30pm and is hosted by Phil Stokes and Robin Plummer. (The play on AA is deliberate btw and will be explained).
The evening will be a mix of TED style input, breakouts and group discussion in a relaxed and informal environment.
apostles anonymous is for all you entrepreneurs and visionaries who cant help but try and make things happen. The bible teaches that we are all uniquely called and gifted. Apostles are the least understood of the ‘fivefold’ callings in Ephesians and are frequently caricatured or ‘boxed in’. This evening will be about stripping away unhelpful definitions and strengthening a biblical view of an ‘apostle’, seeking a simpler way of discovering and affirming the apostolic gift among us, providing an opportunity to network and to encourage some dreams and visions. Apostles are more prevalent and under affirmed than we may think.
We encourage you to do this short online fivefold survey, and if you come out quite high as apostle, or if you know you are in an entrepreneurial ‘phase’… come along… Or maybe you know this is not your gift or calling but you would like to understand the apostolic function better and meet a few ordinary people who identify as apostolic… come along.
